Full-Stack Applications and ETL Pipelines

Built custom web applications, PySpark data pipelines, desktop tools, and legacy database migrations for business clients.

Overview

Between 2019 and 2022, I worked as an independent software developer delivering contract projects from requirements through production deployment. Projects spanned web platforms, Windows desktop software, cross-platform mobile utilities, ETL data pipelines, sensor telemetry integrations, and legacy migrations.

Web, desktop, and mobile applications

  • Built web applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, PHP, and Python (Django, Flask) for inventory tracking, customer orders, and staff scheduling.
  • Engineered Windows desktop utilities in C# and .NET using WPF, WinUI 3, WinForms, Blazor, and Razor for offline workstation use.
  • Built cross-platform mobile tools using .NET MAUI for client field operations.

Data pipelines and reporting dashboards

  • Built automated data pipelines in Python and PySpark to extract, clean, and normalize records from spreadsheets, REST APIs, and relational databases.
  • Built reporting dashboards with automated weekly exports so business operators could review sales and inventory metrics.
  • Designed normalized relational database schemas in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQLite, adding targeted B-tree indexes to maintain fast search queries.

Legacy migrations and performance tuning

  • Profiled client applications to locate and resolve memory leaks, race conditions, and unindexed queries.
  • Migrated desktop and web applications to modern frameworks while preserving historical records and existing business logic.

Hardware telemetry, computer vision, and automation

  • Built data acquisition scripts that ingested and parsed real-time telemetry from physical hardware sensors and serial devices.
  • Automated document processing workflows using OpenCV and Tesseract OCR to reduce manual data entry.
  • Integrated speech-to-text and text-to-speech tools into internal utilities for hands-free workstation tasks.
